Melissa Hill (born January 8, 1970) is an American former pornographic actress and director.[2] She was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2014[3] and XRCO Hall of Fame in 2015.[4]
Career

She proceeded to start acting in adult films a year later and appeared in more than 200 movies, for a wide variety of producers, over the next ten years until her retirement from hardcore.[3] Over the course of her career, she was nominated for several AVN Awards.[3] Hill won the Best Actress—Film award in 1997 for Penetrator 2 (Pleasure Productions).[3] In 1998, she was named Best Supporting Actress—Film for Paul Thomas' Bad Wives (Vivid Entertainment).[3] In a 2015 interview, she claimed she retired in part because she did not want to age on camera and in part because she felt her career had reached a "plateau", and she found herself not getting another contract and not wanting to succumb to plastic surgery.[5]

Melissa, can you tell us about your latest book, Not What You Think, and where the idea came from?
This novel is about female friendship and the reality that occasionally, close friends aren't as supportive to one another as they could be - sometimes they can be just the opposite! The women in the book consider themselves best friends, yet they don’t always act like it. I think that these days, some women are so busy with their own lives and under so much pressure with work, relationships, family etc that when times get tough, they might not always have time to be the best friends they can be. I thought it might be interesting to explore this, as the darker side of female friendship isn't something that's portrayed very often.
How long did it take you to write?
This one was written in seven months, which I know seems short, but it was written in a huge flurry of excitement as I’d just discovered that my first book, Something You Should Know, was going to be published.I’ve calmed down a bit now though, so the one I’m working on now is t
